If the batwing arm is installed such that it rests on the roof when fully lowered (and possibly leaving a mark on the roof) then I suggest what I've seen others do. They layered 2 or 3 strips of Eternabond tape on the roof beneath the point of contact of the batwing arm - to create a landing zone for the arm to rest upon, instead of directly on the roof.
