kitchen stove issue

After using two tanks of propane in our new fiver we started using a third tank that I refilled at a local reputable location, now have a problem. We have a coating of soot/carbon on the burner that we use most and some coating of same in the air supply tube on the others. I have looked at the hot water heater burner (used some) and the frig burner they both seem to be ok. So I think the problem may be with the quality of the propane or a problem with the stove top. Any Ideas?
Thanks for any input in advance, Bob
  • Turn on the stove top burners all at once. Then turn on the LP water heater and the Furnace. Watch the Stove top flames. IF they waver or diminish, you have a LP regulator problem. Do this first. Then report back. Doug
  • Check each of the stove top burner.
If it is only the one, I would clean the orifice and burner assembly.
If it is all of them, I would check the small regulator in the stove if equipped.
