Geeze, everybody knows that but it sure isn't what they're referred to by people who use them as tools. "Hand me that adjustable end wrench." Naaahhhh, I don't think so.

Like any top quality tool this sucker ain't cheap at $50 but then neither is gasoline or postage to exchange lifetime garbage.
:) Hi, these people can joke all they want, but as a mechanic for decades and a Mac Tools Distributer, Knipex tools work great. I first sold the Channel Lock version, and with their angled teeth, they would bite and never slip. I have no doubt that these will get the job done. - MEXICOWANDERERExplorerNot only that, My new pair of Milwaukee needle nose Vise Grips, make the originals look like a piece of junk. The gripping teeth of the Milwaukee do not get dull. Parrot beak shaped pliers absolutely will not slip on pipe. If a stub of rod remains of a screw parrot beak pliers will grab it.
I work with tools almost all day. My poor grip and limited rotary wrist motion strongly encourages me to buy high end tools. - gboppExplorerKnipex calls them a Pliers Wrench.
I always thought a tube wrench looked similar to a box end wrench with an opening to fit around the tube? - TakingThe5thExplorer
