kwik lube

I have a 1989 chevy van conversion.I had trouble with the door latch operating in its correct manner.The parts in the door would not move and I would have to hold the door button depressed to line up the cogs to latch on the post in the door jamb.This was a regular thing to close the doors.The lubricant that I was using was wd40.I then switched to kwik lube and now no problem.
