Unfortunately, I do not have a reliable dealer service department in my area. It is several hours drive away & ,typically, they take weeks to fix anything & rarely get it right the first time. I would rather pay a local mobile guy to do it even if I have to pay without benefit of warranty than go through the dealer service experiences I have had in the past.

If you can tap on the motor and it works, it WILL fail again. Just have the Winnebago dealer replace the motor under your warranty. That is why you have a warranty. The ESC will NOT cover your failure as long as you are under the original Factory warranty. Once you are out of the original warranty your ESC will cover it as long as the motor is a covered item. Intermittant Kwikee step motor failures are common even under warranty. What Kwikee is telling you is that if you insist on diagnosing and doing the work yourself(or use a mobile service) they will not cover it if the motor bench tests good when they get it back. Winne dealers or authorized Kwikee service centers do not have that problem. Doug
PS, I am not aware of any Kwikee step that does not have the pivot pin with the cotter key. You must have a brand new series. The Kwikee website does not show a specific breakdown for the revolution series step.
KWIKEE verified that they do not have a parts breakdown for this model step. Just a parts listing, but they did state that if you go to a Winne dealer, they will auth a new motor as long as the dealer states in the warranty claim that the problem is intermittent. They will not deal with you or a mobile service on this type issue.
