Yep, I'll probably get a 1K ohm 10 turn pot for my Meanwell. The counter is just too nice. Will be better than disconnecting and watching a voltmeter as I turn the dial, then reconnecting.
I'll probably be thermal epoxying a K type thermocouple sensor to my alternator casing too while I do this project. One to my battery too So I can check temperature via my DMM. I've got 5 thermocouples. Might go sensor happy while I got the epoxy mixed.
Mex, ideally, without regard for the 2.50$ thermocouple, would be the best location for a temp reading? Center of the side of the battery or near the center of the top of the battery, or closer to the output studs?
