Yes but a Half life of 24100 years means you can safely pick up and hold Pu, tho it is internally toxic so don't eat or breath any of it. But since it would be encased in multiple cans of stainless steel and concrete that doesn't seem likely. The dangerous material is isotopes like CS-137 with a half life of 30 years. Holding that in your hand would kill you, but it's all essentially gone in 300 years.
