I would love a truck that was electric. If I understand correctly the torque would be very good. I reckon the current limiting factor is the power storage weight and the effect on distance and tow weight.
I could see something similar to a diesel/electric locomotive in a smaller scale. It probably has the same weight disadvantages as an all electric would currently have though.
I believe the diesel/electric locomotives carry a large amount of fuel to power the generators. But when on thinks of the weight that 3 or 4 working together can pull. One would need how far they can travel on a full load of fuel.
I think I will do a little research and see what type of information is available.
