Leaking seals to/from hot water tank

Hi all! Would really appricitate some help. New RV'er here. Just purchased a used class C Four Winds Majestic. Everything is great, love it so far but.. Had water flowing out if te side. Opened up connections to hot water heater and saw that the two seals of same type are leaking water. I'm attaching photos for reference. These are seals that are going direct to and from the hot water tank. I've hand tighten them both to max but steal leaking. Should a try to tighten with tools to the max? Are they just old seals and need to to replaced with the same type? Or is this just bad seal type in general? If so what should I replace them with? Your help is much appreciated as I'm still a total newb in these types of recreational activities! Edit: They're both leaking from where the pipe piece goes into to the screw on bolt that is tightened.
