Leaking water hose

This is why every one or most do anyway machined brass or stainless hose ends.
Stamped brass plated metal is what is on most hoses now. The washers are a problem too. We carry a pack or two and one box of good ones I found somewhere.
The metal bends from minor loads or even tightening behind the coupling and can leak from there or the lip potion that seals against the washer can be bent by screwing and unscrewing with a little sideways pressure. Little bend will leak a geyser. Several or many of us have had hoses blow off the connectors, when connected to a high pressure faucet or overnight, and the hose just sort of squeezes out of the fittings or the hose swells and blows.
I have a Compartment full of white hoses used once or twice that leak, I guess if I ever find some good ends that connect right, i can sell them for a small fortune total. Those thin hoses also let light in and breed all kinds of algae and boogers, in the sun. A good lined hose with machined ends will generally end the ills. Solid brass and especially stainless will loosen and tighten smoothly. The plated stuff only the first time or two or three. The plating is very thin and the tightening and loosening get gritty, just like the cheap zinc plated stuff water fittings, from the big box stores.

I found that most new hoses have soft plastic washers that leak after connecting them a couple of times. A couple of years ago I found my local Ace Hardware store had replacement rubber washers for hoses. Real rubber washers were the end of my hose leaks. :)

You can get hose gaskets/washers that are large O-rings, they seem to work much better.

The use of the 45* or even a 90* helps take strain off of hose

I put my regulator at the 'Y' that way hose is also protected from High Pressure (and less weight hanging at city water connection)

On the coach connector I attach a better connector, using teflon tape.

Cheap hoses come with plastic washers. When they are initially tightened (especially with a pliers by those having leak problems, ahem), a groove is made in the washer. When the hose is attached again, it sometimes orients in a different spot and the groove doesn't seal.
The cure is to buy rubber hose washers. You can experiment with this by flipping the washer over in the hose connector.

That would be the first thing I check. I had the same issue and when I disconnected it I realized the washer fell out. I have a package of washers in my water tub.

I have been using the same white fresh water hose I bought when we bought our new 2007 5er. Still good, and no leaks. As noted above, a hose leak is usually due to the rubber washer bad or missing.

I have had the same quality kink free water hoses for over 10 years and none leak. Where are the leaks? Is the leak between the hose and the inlet on the RV or between hose lengths or spigot? Does is leak at the thread between the washer or another part of the fitting? If it is the brass that is pressed in the fitting my guess is you are buying cheap throwaway hoses.
