I am plugged in 24/7, except during Winter months. Most newer RVs have some parasitic drain, even with OEM shutoff. If you did not plug in, or disconnect at the battery, it/they would discharge over extended period.
My converter keeps a float charge at 13.2, and if fan runs, I have not heard it. If your fan runs all the time, I'd suspect something is not right.
