LED bulbs

Who makes a good brand of LED lights in the A19 120V configuration? I'm looking for a good price on 5000k temp bulbs, that I usually mix 1:1 with something in the old school 3300K temp incandescent lighting color.

Does anyone know what that sticky junk is on the glass portion that dust sticks to on a Cree LED light bulb? I find it a PIA to dust off / clean, being sticky.

Cree? Phillips? Luxeon?

Maybe if I get my watt usage down for emergency lighting, a Honda EU250i will save me a fortune in gas.
