LED Bulbs

Like everyone else I have tried multiple different ones but these have worked great for me going on a few years now, they are brighter than the 921's and I have no interference or failures with them.

We bought these two-packs and replace the entire light - $26 for two. We replaced all five lights in the Lance TC.

Our last trip was about two months, lots of no HU nights with ZERO issues.

I think those are what I bought, but in a 10-pack and Warm White. Those have been OK. It was some 2-pack I got that was junk. Neither caused interference. The LED's I bought seem pretty fragile where they plug to the socket. Must be very careful installing.

I bought one type of 921==>>LED on Amazon that failed right away. Then a package of a few that have been OK so far. Next, I replaced a whole ceiling light with one by Command Electronics (who seem to be a significant supplier to RV builders) that was already LED from Amazon. It's good, but switch is only On/Off, not One End/Both Ends. Next, I found another deal with four or five lights with the two-way switches, around $50 for the group. I think that'll be my next upgrade.

I mostly built my own, because I wanted extra-bright fixtures, so each double-bulb fixture contains 18 watts of LED now (about 1800 lumen output)

However, if overkill isn't your thing, these are also working well for me in more normally powered

Aluminum packaged to deal with heat, and a nice driver that doesn't seem to produce much RF noise and keeps the lights from varying in brightness

WHATEVER you buy, turn them on for five minutes

Touch the LED chip with a finger

If you jerk your finger away and shout wall-paper-peeling bad words the chips are too hot and will fail.

Just keep in mind, chips that remain reasonably cool at 12-volts may get hotter than hell, then smoke at 13.6 volts. And a hot summer night can contribute to SCF.
