That may come to pass.

Every year a bill is introduced in the state legislature to evict Chicago from Illinois.

It hasn't yet gotten out of committee.

Since the Brits gave it back, Hong Kong is part of China, although AFAIK, the Chinese government hasn't tightened the screws fully on that area, so it tends to be a freer trade place.

So far, I've been pretty impressed with the cheapies I've bought from there.

ALL the Hong Kong LED's are made in mainland China...guaranteed. So there will be no difference. Some of the Hong Kong vendors are a little easier to deal with is all (I'm saying this as someone who grew up in Hong Kong).

I have bought LEDs from both, although not BA15s 36-1210 LEDs, and haven't noticed any difference.
