What I don't understand is this: Why did the shore line charger need to be modified but the solar controller is fine? What is the difference?
Remind us what changes were made to the charger and what is the rating?
Only difference afaik would be the charger is 24/7 where solar is 6 to 8 hours per day only.
Li works more like your fuel tank. Fill it, then burn it, repeat.
No real float. Fills pretty much as fast as the nozzle can pump.
"float" on solar would be just to supplement power while in use during the day.
For the charger you want to keep the battery closer to 80/90 percent. No reason to go 100 unless you will soon unplug and you actually need the power.
