Battery Voltage
How much solar. Watts?
The setup on my 5th wheel is 12v 500ah lithium batteries (GBS LFMP battery system). There are 8 CTI 160 watt panels (1,280 watts), 2 in series, 4 sets. Each set goes to the combiner box where all sets are in parallel. Laying flat on the roof. Magnum PT100 controller, Magnum 3012 hybrid inverter. There is a display (ME-ARC 50) to read the performance of the system. There was a sub panel added so everything except the water heater is running through the inverter. It's common to see 45 amps early morning (9am), 55 - 75 amps during the early afternoon and have seen 80 amp a couple times before it starts to throttle down being full batteries. One thing that's nice is not worrying what direction to be orientated to the sun. The most I've seen during peak sun from the panels reading from the controller is 1,100 watts. Now this complete system might be a little more than someone might want or spend on.
Right now the 20 individual cell are fluctuating between 3.36-.38v the display reads 13.39vdc at 99% full.
The daily PT data for yesterday...
Kwh harvested 4.5
VDC max PV 44 @ 06:42
VDC max battery 14.1 @ 10:12
VDC min battery 13.0 @ 09:12
Hour on time 14.2
Ah to battery 330
Max power @ time 1.0 KW 12:36
If I had a better data connection I would of attached a pic for the past couple weeks which is similar 44-46 vdc max pv, min vdc battery 12.8-13.0, harvested 4.1 - 7.2 KWH daily and AH to battery 320-520.
