Lifan storm 3600ier generator

I have a Lifan storm 3600ier inverter generator. After i am done camping for the year i start up the jenny every two months and put a load on it ,after 15 minutes or so shut it down. In November i did this and every thing was fine. Two weeks ago i could not get it started because it was so cold in the garage(noheat) since i had the truck running i thought i would take side plate off and put it by the truck exhaust about foot and half away. It started well after that but when i went to hook up a load to it i noticed the overload light was on (no load hooked up to it). It starts ,green light come on after 5 seconds or so rpm goes up and overload light comes on and then starts to flash Now when the green light comes on i do have power but not when overload comes on. I love the generator because of the remote start which works great and so does the genny as a rule .Sorry for the long post but sure could use some before i look to buy a new inverter board. Thank you. Tom

    .and the price.
  • Setting the generator in the truck exhaust is a bad idea. There is a lot of water vapor in the exhaust and it is likely moisture built up on the generator. Take the generator indoors and let it warm up.
  • Thanks for the replies, first thing i thought of was reset button which i will check,I do have a wiring schematic and operation manual, but they didnot enlighten me to the problem.Right now temp. is down to Zero F.but will pull the inverter board soon as possible. Thanks again for the help, maybe someone will hit the nail on the head. Tom
  • yes i did i did push both reset buttons after shutting engine off and restart but did not make any difference. Thank you, once the weather warms up a bit will pull inverter board and check it but hoping somebody can clue me in what is going on. Thank you,Tom
  • Have you tried the reset button as shown on wiring diagram?
Is the overload green or red? Green is good!
