10 times as much is a lot of difference. I would disagree that wet cell are maintenance intensive. Even when running my GC2 hard they only need topping off every 3 or 4 months. Keeping the terminals and cable ends greased just about eliminates corrosion. But, if a person doesn't want to deal with that they might also do very well with AGM. I've seen 330 AH of AGM at $650 last 7 years or more. Pretty good value at $92 a year and no wet issues.
I can appreciate the per charge argument but it is also based on everything going as planned. If weight and space are critical and money isn't an issue why buy anything else.
If two of them can give up 160 AH I could possibly get by with two of them. $2000 vs $600 64 lb vs 370.
