I have not had to deal with a float setting so far with PWM controllers but I have a Victron 75/15 coming tomorrow and reading up on the settings,it is confusing especially the float setting..Some say...

BTW, in my case, having 660w solar and 400 a/hr ‘fast recovery’ LFP enables me to run the 11kbtu air conditioner for say about 5 hours or so (compressor cycling, concurrent with harvest), typically with full recovery by next day’s noontime…A recovery rate (and ‘usable’ amp/hr capacity!!) not possible with my former Golf Cart batts…Of further interest, because of this one might also note here that (due to LFP’s rapid recovery rate), having an amount of solar that’s equal to the air conditioner duty cycle wattage (meaning a presumed zero sum arrangement) is NOT really necessary. For our ‘uninitiated’ friends, yet another example of what’s a less than obvious value worth considering…(So predictably, grab your calculator’s that “say it ain’t so” - lol!)…JMHO, ‘real-world’ matters, actual user experience may vary :) …
