I am not sure if the others agree with me but if you are camping i dont see a issue with going to 100% every day. to me its for storage you want to stop between 50 and 70%. I think there are a lot of "Genaric" lithium tunes in chargers and not spicific LFP programs. if your set up is fully programable it might be worth asking renogy what they recomend for setting, but there just an assembler so hopefully they don't just spit out the same generic numbers and actualy get them from the manufacture of the cells they use.
I think so as well and plan on using the LiFePO4 battery this way. My thought is when at home in standby (not storage like over winter) then I'd use the profile Morningstar suggested where there is no absorption or float and the setpoints are such that the battery would not achieve or more importantly maintain a 100% SOC. But the day before the trip I would switch over to the "while camping" profile that tries to reach 100% daily. If I even remember - seems like it doesn't matter to the battery health as long as I'm getting the power I need from it while only partially recharging.
The Renogy manual does offer a charging profile that seems generic but straight forward. They don't mention a float voltage though.
"During the standard charging process, the battery is first charged at a constant current of 20A until the battery voltage reaches 14.4V. Then, the battery is charged at a constant voltage of 14.4V while tapering the charge current. The standard charging process is considered complete when the charge current is less than 2A. However, leaving the battery on float will continue to balance the battery cells and will not damage the battery. The standard charging process normally takes 7 hours. Safe charging requires battery temperatures between 32°F and 131°F (0°C and 55°C)."
The manual also recommends storage at 30-50% SOC.
