Yep, this is where the advantages real world experience begins to eclipse hypothetical pontificating - I would also question the perceived need to float or absorb, except for what might be an unattended charging scenario…However, because of LFP’s uber low self-discharge rate and far greater usable capacity span, this seems to be yet another perceived need that offers little if any real world utility…14.x volts is all that’s really needed, along with only an occasional 100% SOC excursion to re-accomplish cell-balancing…LFP’s preform fine without a need to by fully charged, which (from my experienced perspective) ‘fully charged’ may have more to do with quenching one’s own ‘state of mind’…
