I certainly can see that but here in Idaho we have had an abundance of snow and ice keeping me from roof mounting any panels..As careful as I try to be,it's rare a plastic vent cover goes unbroken over the winter..Keeps 'em new and nice..LOL
When relying on a charger to keep the batteries in the golden zone is a bit more complex requiring Voltage/AH to assume and maintain..Enter voltage chart..
Being a snowbird does have its advantages. Now in AZ boondocking since January averaging 3.5kwh daily. Lots of power.
