Lippert 6 point leveling system question

Today as I walked past my 5er parked in my driveway, I heard an alarm going off. it beeped about once every 45sec. I finally traced the cause of the beep to the Lippert Control box. When I pressed the on/off switch to activate the system, I got no response. I checked the battery and it was low, I charged the battery and still had the alarm and no response to pressing the on/off switch. This unit was just delivered to me last Tuesday. I also added some fluid to the reservoir. Still no response from the control box. Anyone have any ideas?

Dealer who sold me the unit is 150 mi away and doesn't return my calls. Right now I have no way to tow the unit.

  • Disconnected all power and system did reset itself. All good. Thanks for the tips. BTW, I did read the manual, but it never says what to do if you press the on-off switch and no LCD display is visible.
  • About the fluid: you are supposed to have all the legs up, and all slides in before checking fluid level which should be near top of reservoir, 1/4 to 1/2 inch. Some slide out rams are actually "out" when the slide is in, what you are trying to do is get the most fluid back in the reservoir. Check out the Lippert website for manuals.
  • Thanks for the advise. I will try these tips today and hope for the best.
  • Turn off all 12v to controller you may have to pull a fuse or turn batteries and converter off if on shore power. This will reset control. Also if you added fluid while any jacks where down or slides out may want to check it again with everything retracted.
  • Try disconnecting your battery(s) for a couple of minutes and reconnect them. Might reset the system.
