You should do what makes you sleep at night during your 48 hour freeze, but do remember what is making you Florida boys all nervous, is what we call October up North.
Most RV's use a PEX tubing which is good to -60f. Most RV's have the water pump above the water tank. Most the time up north it's the third freezing night that will do damage to non PEX pipes and fittings.
Your RV will have a lot of thermal mass and that will keep the cold away for awhile during the night. That's why up north we say the third night is the one that always does damage. The thermal mass will keep losing heat with each passing day and that third night will have maximum time to do damage.
On the other hand, it never hurts to be overly safe.
