You might have a hard time finding the fittings you are seeking. Instead of buying off the shelf crimped hoses from Walmart go to a good hydraulic shop and have them make a set of hoses using the old ones as a pattern. They can make a set that will hold in excess of 4K psi which is way overkill for propane and should solve your problems.
