My OFF-ROAD POPUP only has two good spots to install panels. One on the front with the fantastic fan in the middle and then across the rear roof between the Air Conditioner and the rear end of the roof. I'm planning on two 120WATT PANELS on the front which could be 140WATTS panels as well and can be much bigger going across the rear of the roof. Maybe I can get a 240WATT panel there.
Everyone has told me to use the 30AMP MPPT Controller to give me more amps to use... If I want to re-charge my planned 300AH Trojan T-1275 batteries in a real quick time I will want to hit them 14.4VDC@ at least 18-20AMPS per battery. I will also have the ability to switch in another 300AMP Battery bank that is going to be located in the back of truck bed so those will also need to be re-charged using the Battery/Solar panels like you are describing to do each day. I'm thinking having around 500WATTS of solar will really do me a bang up job keeping my two 300AMP Battery banks charged up by the end of the high sun day or using the generator when I need to.
In my case I will not start my day/night run off my batteries if they are not up to their 90% charge state otherwise it won't make it thru the night with all things we run on our camping trips. Not fun getting dark on you at 10PM at night haha...
MY planning continues - hope to get started on my solar project soon. I pretty much have all my install hardware items and BLUE SEA support components already. Waiting for more money now...

Kind of like you, I have two banks using Blue Sea Selector. Main bank (4-GC2's) will be 10' from the charge controller and the other bank (2-GC2's) will be almost 25' from the charge controller. The two GC's is the factory location. The only place I could locate the 4-GC2 was way to the back of the RV. The battery part of the system is working great. I am also slowly collecting parts for my solar charging setup. Gary
