Yes, there does seem to be an issue with these larger 12v jars requiring higher voltages to get the SG back upto baseline, my screwy group 31 requires more than 14.8v to do it.
I'd like to hear Mex's opinion as to why this is.
Even if I set mine for 14.7 Absv and 14.8 float, the SG after two weeks, of achieving 14.7 and 8 daily and relatively shallow cycling, will be horrendously low, and the voltage sag under light loading is repugnant.
If I did not have the option to change my solar voltage setpoints, then this 7 month old battery would have already been sent to the recyclers. Perhaps with a few Machete creases across the case.
Too much effort required with my Screwy 31 to get it to perform properly and I'm still fine tuning the variables to find something acceptable to both me and the battery, and when this one no longer meets my needs, I'll not be getting another large flooded 12v jar as my previous 27's were a bit petulant too.
