  • Thanks pianotuna, just edited my post. That makes it more desirable especially if having multiple batteries.

The charge rating is low at 20 amps/battery so charging might be slower than Battleborns or others, but with solar or alternator charging could work out just as well.

It is 50 amps per 100 amp-hours of battery, not 20.

    "Max Charge Current: 50 A"
  • Here is a reply from the maker:

"If discharge cut off, just charge it, it would back to work.
If charge cut off, just using it.
if low temperature cut off, when temperature back to normal, it would start work.

  • Looks interesting, great price unless shipping cost is high. I emailed the distributor in Arizona a couple questions and he expects stock in 2 weeks, warranty will be with SOK, hopefully won't have to send/receive from China.
The charge rating is 50 amps/battery so charging might be slower than Battleborns or others, but with solar or alternator charging could work out just as well. Only time it could be an issue is with inverter charging but you can set the max charging amp on inverter. It would just take longer for a full charge. Not a problem if plugged in but if on generator would mean longer generator run time. Depends on your usage. If the BMS limits the incoming charging amps that could protect your alternator from overworking.
7 year warranty is good especially if a USA distributor can handle any exchanges. If they have to come from China that could be a problem with time and shipping costs. I like the open case design, makes it user serviceable if needed.
  • Lwiddish,

Not just a crack. Look at the information on the battery management system. It spells out exactly what it is going to do.

From the series statement, I infer that LI. when connected in parallel, need to follow balanced battery wiring guidelines, and should be fully charged individually before doing so.

They are the first "drop ins" I've seen that rival the price SiO2.

They sell in 26 countries including USA and Canada.

I've emailed them about resetting the bms.
  • I like the way they constructed that one, everything is replacable and inspectable. thats the equivalant of a high end DIY build.

  • Yes quite good. They are going to come down in price as competition hears up.
