Remember that those old CCI Control propane detectors also controlled a shutoff solenoid for the propane. If that CCI goes totally toes up it will shut off your solenoid leaving you w/o propane. If you replace the CCI detector chances are your going to have to remove the existing solenoid. Some people have had luck restoring CCI propane detection by using hair dryer on the unit.
The CCI does have the valve control feature, but no such valve to be controlled in this rig. Rig just has the red and black wires. The CCI had its two reds to the one red and its yellow to the black.
No way to know when the detector lost its ability since 2007, but it had no effect on supply of propane. (We got this rig in 2017)
Lesson for me is don't believe it just because the green light is on and you can make it alarm with the button. The BBQ bottle and hose putting real propane to it is the way to tell. You have to air the place out to get the green light to come on again.
