I've let LT tires go beyond 5 years and didn't experience any tire problems until they began to show sidewall cracks....not the tiny spider webbing type cracks but 1/16 to 1/8 inch wide cracks. My biggest mistake was not covering the tires while in storage. Now I cover the tires.
Like others have said 5-6 years for replacement no matter how much tread is still left on the tires. Correct pressure at all times.
