Luxeon S (1000,etc)
Is anyone experimenting with these big LEDs?
the "little guy", S1000: 8mm lens, ~1200 lumen output, roughly 18 watts.
bigger brothers; S2000 and up, more than 6000 lumen output

They're solder-free, using a special socket (solder separately of course), that clamps them into a heatsink.
