I keep my macerator pump handy for those rare times when I come home without emptying my tanks first. I connect the end of the pump directly to the 3" sewer hose and pump through a 3/4" garden hose into a slop sink in my garage. It's quick and a lot easier than the old bucket method. It keeps up with and even gets ahead of the blasters in the tanks flushing everything toward the drains. If I want the tank to fill, I have to stop the pump. The impeller has a hard time dealing with hair and I'll use my needlenose pliers to untangle and remove it before storing it away for the next time. They're very handy!
