Must've been long time ago. It's all from China now. Occasionally - Europe. Check that Lee Valley store, they usually have quality tools though you might find same German or French tool for less if you google around.
As to the screws itself, I prefer a "combination" slotted square for tough spots. Small square is easy to damage, when it takes a lot of effort there is nothing like a slot.
