Magic Chef Oven heats to 450 degrees regardless of setting

I'm suspecting that the gas valve for the oven is likely borked, but my problem is two fold. 1.) The pilot will not stay lit unless I light it and then hold it in while starting the burner. 2.) ...

The control valve are not adjustable if oven is off by more than 50 degrees so since it goes right to 450 it's bad. Thanks, I suspected as much, I'll pop by our local parts shop with the info and get what's needed.
