magnum boost hybrid inverter

Way back when....(in electronics school) we used CLD's (current limiting diodes) to limit current and Zener diodes to limit voltage. Lots of electronics sites can give you details on sizes, etc. Try futureelectronics.com.

15 amps 120 volts is about equal to 150 amps 12 volts.
Have you been tripping your 15 amp circuit breaker?
Unless your batteries are WAY discharged, you shouldn't have a problem.
Just try and see.

I have tripped a 30 amp breaker just once. I did not have access to the shore power breaker panel. I do monitor my electrical use with a watt meter.

I tend to run my RV 100% electrically including space heating. I wish to be able to run the roof air conditioner--and can do so--but I'm not comfortable doing so with my existing MSW inverter.

In the past, I've often used double conversion to power the 30 amp RV from a 15 amp outlet. I.E. powering most of the RV from the inverter and charging by having only the converter plugged into shore power.

I now am full time and do a great deal of urbandocking. Often the maximum shore power I have access to is 15 amps, and equally often it would be either extremely inconvenient, or impossible to get to the breaker panel.

In short, I think the 3012 may be quite useful to me if it will physically fit and IF (but only if) I can limit input to as low as 15 amp easily.

Don't see it in the owners manual referenced. I can certainly see the need, I use a Honda 1000 and have to set my Prosine to a 7-8 amp input to keep it running. Good luck

PT, you have to look in the manual for one of the Magnum remotes. Most of the features are only accessible via remote.

He's right. If the ME-ARC operates the same on this Magnum (and it may not..), then yes you can limit it. I do it all the time on my 2012 and an EU2000. When I don't want it ramping up, I back it off to 6A in and it idles its way to full charge.
