Hi John,
I'd appreciate you doing that.
1. load the inverter until the fan runs (say five minutes), then turn the inverter off. Does fan continue to run?
2. Charge the battery until the fan runs, leave the inverter on and remove shore power. Does the fan run?
Please don't risk a "melt down" of the inverter. I'd suggest that if the fan does immediately shut down that power be restored asap to allow the cooling to happen.

I have a different model Magnum, the MMS 1012 1000W/50A.
I am at at home and can run a driveway test of the fan on/off states if you think that would be helpful. It is no bother as I need to do an annual capacity test as well.
