Hi GordonThree,
I'm beginning to think my Magnum has been starting to fail for some time.
I do know for certain the cooling fan did not run after I turned off the generator. It was running as fast as it possibly could on a 74 amp charge and it had been doing so for an hour.
I've exchanged some private messages with our repair friend in Montana, KJINTF. He has suggested that transfer switches are ALWAYS a failure point and that switching under load causes those failures.
