Actually this is exactly what the hybrid inverters are designed to do

the 74A charging current was coming from the Magnum hybrid inverter charger (MSH3012M if I'm not mistaken). The generator or shore power input goes to the magnum inverter first, then that gets passed through to the RV system bus. IF more that the shore power/genny limit is needed the Magnum can add additional inverted power to the incoming AC from shore power or genny.
