Other than the gears are worn on the rack I do see it lifting when it slips. Though your issue is on retracting this video may provide assist: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YTLDHwoM7n0

Also Lippert can help if you give them a call. They've help me on several occasions with axle and brake repairs with my last TT.
