I can only imagine what its like if they still do LOL. They would have to make politically correct projects, (believe it or not we used to reload ammo in shop class back in the 70's). Could you imagine making a wall mounted gun rack or cabinet in woodshop today and some of the flake parents or press getting wind of it? The kids would be required to wear suits of armor so they can't cut a finger. Some of these parents today take the cake. I had a neighbor call the state police because I made her kid cry when he constantly played in the street in front of my driveway, and my wife almost backed over the little guy one day backing out. I asked the little guy to please not do it and he wee wee wee'd all the way home. But its ok for a 6 yr old to ride his bike on the street unsupervised.
The schools that don't have it probably needed the classroom space for safe spaces and sensitivity classes.
