Gde,
With respect, I had freeze ups at -6 c (21 F) before putting in the dual window fans to replace the cold air return grill. The freeze ups happened when the RV temperature was 20 c (68 f) using the propane furnace. The fans have been tested to -27 c (-16.6 f) preventing freeze ups of the fresh water lines. I do have them on a mechanical thermostat. Adding them allows me to heat 100% electrically.
You make a good point about the furnace fan being operated without a flame. It would cause the heat exchanger to work "backwards" and remove heat from the RV.
