Not sure about "black molding". In my trailer it is "shiny" diamond aluminum plate on the front wall. If I were to pull cables through this diamond plate, I would use
strain relief connectors.
Having said this - you don't have to pull cables through the front trailer wall. Just follow red battery cable to the inside, you will find a J-box and bunch of wires going up through the black coroplast and into the floor particle board. Drill another hole through the floor of the front storage. It's just a 3/8" particle board. Make sure you don't hit the floor joist. If your trailer is anything like mine, the front storage is adjacent to bedroom cabinet or a night table next to the cabinet.
I didn't route solar cables to controller outside, but instead mounted controller on the wall under the cabinet, and routed the battery cable outside.
