Mean Well power supply for my usage
I've been reading old threads for a couple of hours. I'm fairly sure a Mean Well p.s. can do what I want to do, but I'd appreciate if one of you early adopters can point me to a specific model, etc. ...

Snowman, before the mod mine was set to ~ 14.6 and ~ 13.6... a difference of ~ 1v. After the mod, and when it would only kick into a high voltage boost on near full batts, (a malfunction it also displayed pre-mod) it would drop down that same ~ 1v difference. So those particular parameters appear to be unaffected.
Likewise, there was a difference of ~ 0.4v between abs and float, 13.6 - 13.2. So, if for some reason it did kick down to float, I suspect it would drop that same 0.4v.
But all that is pretty much irrelevant for the way we desire to use these mods. I just need to be concerned with the power going off and then it coming back on for 15min, and it jumping up to 15.8v. But, then again, as with all these units, the thermistor would probably fry on the hot re-start, which is a much bigger concern. Perhaps this is an issue needing to be dealt with by powermax?
And that's probably what fried my original 60 amper in the first place. It started fine, but a few minutes in it went poof and started smoking. The power probably went off for a few seconds, and then came back on.
