I just finished sticking a 200-watt adjustable DC to DC booster atop a 94-watt power supply brick. The danged booster actually regulates the brick -lower- than it's nominal 12.72 open circuit voltage. The brick pumps out a cool 6.22 amps at 14.7 volts. But it's meant to float the Lifeline at 13.3 volts.
That Meanwell has a remote voltage sense lead line. It would be a great power supply for a smaller rig allowing the main charger to do a job on the batteries. The Meanwell is a cleaner power supply than the normal RV converter.
Not happy with the meters that arrived for the Borg. Too small numbers. Too dim. Lousy sampling rate. I may go with an analog ammeter and digital voltmeter.
I have the micrometer adjustment knobs and Bourns 10-turn 2-watt pots. I need to get a-hold of a die-maker's type rotary grinder and a good 1/8" carbide router bit. Time to get the Borg finished.
BTW the 16.0 volt power bricks from MPJA.com work perfect.
