Hi gator,
The solar calculator at that page require you to know how many watts you use per day. That is what we are trying to find out.
Here is a link to the rather special spreadsheet which includes an energy audit, that N8GS has created to help size solar battery charging systems!

If you use a kill-a-watt to record the energy used, then a lot of guess work may be eliminated. For example, how many minutes do you actually use the water pump in a 24 time frame? Is that a typical answer?
By the way, the calculator you recommend suggests I need 3400 amp-hours of battery bank and 34 250 watt panels. I'm afraid that won't be happening any time soon.
