:) Hi, I just had Micro-Air install a unit on my trailer. No experience yet. My trailer has an 11,000 BTU air conditioner and I have had no problem running it with my Yamaha 2400 generator. My concerns were high altitude and high ambient temps at the same time. This could make it difficult to start the air conditioner compressor. This is why I had a Micro-Air installed.
the micro air solves the starting problem. However it does NOT reduce running current. I love mine, but I found out (somewhat expected) that around 4,000ft the honda 2000 will overload with my Coleman MachIII on a hot day. John Day oregon, roughly 4000Ft, 95F, honda 2000 would trip out after about 10 minutes.
Now the yamaha 2400 and 11KBTU AC probably has enough margin to keep you going.
The density altitude when mine kicked out was about 6,000Ft. High temps, + high altitude= even higher "equivalent" altitude. As an example, sea level at 95F is about the same air density as 2300ft at 60F.
