Microwave Turntable Coupler

Found out from manufacture there is no part between motor and pivot need to replace the complete turntable motor. Got the motor now need to install it.

First look for the part on line. Not even worth doing anything if you can't get the part. Check www.searspartsdirect.com If not there try www.Reliableparts.com.

Most microwave turntable motors are accessed through the bottom through the light, or another access panel that is removable, but not all. There are some that are not fun to do. Use your eyes and look for a panel or light cover to remove. BESURE IT IS UNPLUGGED FIRST.

I would not use the micro without it, as the food will burn in very select places without it. Microwaves that don't have a turntable have a wave stirrer inside where you can't see it.

Our at home kenmore microwave had a broken turntable attachment that broke. Had to take it apart from the bottom to get at the plastic stub. Found a like microwave at a garage sale that had a broken turntable motor and used the turntable plastic part from it and tossed the rest of the bargain microwave. Had to do this as Sears had no replacement parts available. Amazing as the microwave was only two years old at the time and replacement parts are not available.

The nordic ware is a good sub while you look for parts. A dental pick or seal pick may help.

What kind of Microwave do you have.. I have a dometic made by LG (The door says Dometic but you open it up the ID tag says LG.. One of the many reasons I feel LG means "Lousy GOods" I had to re-engineer that particular system, replace the LG part with a GE part, and enlarge a hole,, Works fine now.

If you can't get the part maybe this would work. Since mine won't stay in place while traveling, I might just get one of these and eliminate one moe PITA.

Or use it without the turn table. :)

Getting it out is going to be the easy part.
I can tell you from experience that finding the right replacement for the worn out part can be next to impossible.
Easier in the long run to just replace the microwave. That's what I ended up having to do.
