Yes flip the breakers off and on as needed.
If your battery is in good shape you should not get to 11.8 volts unless there is a heavy load. Or does the generator auto start at 11.8 volts? If your battery voltage seems to sag more than expected maybe you need to update the charging system so you are closer to 100% as you go into the evening.
