Yes they are 4" ducts...

And as far as the intake I cut in a intake grate I got at home depot and cut a square on the top of that luan piece you see on top of the furnace. When the couch is in normal position there is lots of room for air to get behind couch and wall.
Otherwise the only opening was that sections where I ran the new flex duct..
That was an attempt to give it more air. ( Didnt work)
