For those that might think of a few soldering projects beyond Mex's charger project, I'd suggest to just buy a soldering station instead of the Radio Shack soldering iron. My brand suggestion would be Hakko.
B&D also sell inexpensive single wattage Hakko irons if the price of a station can't be justified.
